Inspired by nature and a life long fascination with dragons and shiny things; Laura was called "Scruffy" as a term of endearment as a child and has been (unsuccessfully, at least in part) trying to shake off the self-fulfilling prophecy of that moniker ever since! Hence the name: Scruffy Dragon.
Self-taught: she creates intricate representations of beautiful creatures using mixed media and basic hand tools. In addition to her jewelry Laura also makes fascinators, bags, purses and cushions.
